A quieter way through Scripture.
Chronicles is made by 127 Evergreen Lane LLC, an independent publisher of devotional tools. We build one thing at a time and try to build it well.
Why we made it
Most people who set out to read the Bible in a year stop somewhere in the spring. It's rarely for lack of wanting to. Reading alone is passive, the days blur together, and by March it's hard to say what you actually read in January.
Chronicles was built around a simple idea: you remember what you engage with. So each day pairs the reading with something to do — a page to color, three questions to answer honestly, a puzzle drawn from the day's own vocabulary, and a short quiz with chapter-and-verse citations so you can go back and check yourself. The reading stays central. Everything else exists to make it stick.
The plan runs chronologically rather than front to back, so events land in the order they happened — Job sits back in the patriarchs where it belongs, the prophets show up inside the histories they were speaking into. It reads less like a list of books and more like one story.
How it's built
All 365 days ship inside the app. There's no account to create before you can start, no feed, no notifications competing for your attention, and nothing that stops working if you lose signal. You choose which day you're on and go at your own pace — if you miss a week, you haven't broken anything.
The illustrations are original line art drawn for each day's passage, with the lettering built into the artwork so a finished page is worth keeping. You can export a day, or your whole journal, as a PDF whenever you like.
Where we stand on your data
Your reflections are private writing. We treat them that way. By default they never leave your device. If you turn on Cloud Sync, they go to your own private Google Drive app-data folder — your account, under your control, which you can clear yourself at any time. We don't collect personal identifying information, track your reading, or analyze what you write, and we don't sell or share user data.
Independence
Chronicles is an independent product developed solely by 127 Evergreen Lane LLC. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by The Blue Letter Bible, The Bible Recap, or any other third-party ministry or publisher. Where the app mentions a reading plan or schedule, it is strictly to help you orient your own study.
